Martin Woods (the woods and the winery) is hidden in the oak-forested foothills of Oregon’s Coast Range, within the cool-climate McMinnville AVA, just outside of the city of McMinnville, ground zero for the Willamette Valley wine community. Martin Woods, spearheaded by winemaker/vigneron Evan Martin, is driven by ideals of searching out and partnering with cool-climate vineyard sites in the Willamette Valley and The Rocks to produce a range of truly-exceptional, artisan, terroir-driven wines. We are attentive students of our terroirs and we are committed to responsible, sustainable farming. We aim to produce wine that combines the classic qualities of elegance, lifted aromas, textural complexity, power, freshness and tension. The wines are both highly pleasurable to drink in youth but also offer long-cellaring potential, and they really shine on the dinner table. But above all, we hope the wines distinctly express a sense-of-place…authentic Oregon terroir, unlike any other growing region in the world. The artisan wines of Martin Woods offer an insightful and delightful tour of Oregon terroir. Tastings held daily 10AM to 5PM in the soulful space of HiFi Wine Bar. 8 to 10 wines poured. $30 tasting fee waived with purchase of 6+ bottles per person. Appointments recommended.
