About the winery
Echo Ridge Cellars is located in historic Echo, Oregon where the Bales family has repurposed an old grain elevator into a stunning new tasting room. All the grapes are sourced from their 60 acre vineyard that sits above the Umatilla River, overlooking the town of Echo.
What makes it different
- Echo Ridge Cellars was founded after Jay Bales retired from the construction industry in 2010 with a plan to make wine.(from the winery)
- Winemaker Billo Naravane holds degrees from MIT and Stanford and later trained in viticulture and enology before becoming winemaker.(from the winery)
