About the winery
At the Carlton winery and tasting room location, guests can enjoy wines from the Celestial Hill Vineyard and J. C. Somers Vintner labels. Tastings are set in a newly remodeled boutique tasting room located in Carlton’s locomotive repair house, with a window into the life of the winery! Courtyard tastings are available in summer months (June – September). Here, we are in the heart of downtown Carlton, walking distance to shops, restaurants, and other tastings rooms. Celestial Hill’s 52-acre estate is a truly unique vineyard property; here, among the rolling hills, forests and creeks, are 12.5 acres of vines spread out across four distinct vineyard blocks, each with different soils and elevations. Experiences on the property range from tasting on the newly renovated patio, overlooking the Glenn Vineyard with a scene of rolling foothills dotted with evergreens, to a vineyard tour that will take you through the forests that surround the four vineyards! Whichever path you choose, you’ll be sure to have a memorable experience with us.
